CURRENT EVENTS

A butterfly-shaped nebula surrounding a dying star, this photo was taken by the new camara from the Hubble Space Telescope.

The article I read this week is called Galaxies far, far, far away. This article is about the photos taken by a new camera from the Hubble Space Telescope.
The Hubble Space Telescope was sent into universe 19 years ago, and the scientists added this new camera n May 2010 when they were doing a repair. This telescope is floating around the Earth and sending back photos to the scientist.
The newest photos from the Hubble Space Telescope show galaxies that are much older than Sun and Moon. The Sun and Moon are about 4.5 billion years old, and the newest photos show galaxies that are 13 billion years old. The scientists believe that the universe is 13.7 billion years old,  so these galaxies were created when the universe was very young.
POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE AFFECTS ON THE WORLD
I think this is important because this way scientist can go back in time and see how some far away galaxies looked like.

  1. Good summary Mateja. Be sure to add the author's name if you can find it. I like how you had a section for the positive and negative effects on the world.
